For me, I made a mix of : 1/4 garden soil 1/4 peat moss 1/4 perlite 1/4 1/8" rock Im curious for what the compsition of your soil mix, Do you do it yourself or buy pre made soil mix ? Different soil for different species ? Thanks Patrick

It's one of the subjects that bonsai people never seem to be able to agree about.. :-D Everyone has his/hers own mix and it's also very dependant on your climate / weather conditions. This is my "magic" mix : 45% akadama 45% stone split ( <5mm) 10% cocopeat Small plants usually get some more cocopeat. Just like accentplants. For pines and junipers and such you cam leave out the cocopeat. Works for me.. regards, René
