What do you use in your soil?

Soil mixtures have been something that always confused me. Im never sure what to use and no one will really tell me, they seem to prefer to tell me what not to use. So far just about everything has been ruled out, so i was just curious what you guys use? *Pine bark, sand, top soil I tend you use pine bark, lave rocks and some type of sand.

Verona,

It seems like everyone has their own recipe. There are several threads in this area that list different recipes for different trees.
