Re: osmocote

Sure go ahead and use it. Osmocote is a slow release fertilizer so don't expect a fast blast of fertility but do expect a slow gradual release. I use this stuff as part of my soil mix when I repot in the spring.

Re: osmocote

Denny,

I generally mix my osmocote into the soil when I repot. The MiracleGro will give you a pretty good starter shot. Just be careful watering. You'll leach out the fertilizer you've added before. I generally add a little fertilizer each time I water.

Re: osmocote

I use Osomcote in the Spring and usea liquid once a week there after, along with it. Except for newly transplanted stuff, I hold off for about 3 weeks with the liquid.

Re: osmocote

You can use osmocote NPK 14-14-14, but if you have one with less Nitrogen is better because it induces leaves to grow fast and vigorously. Here in Brasil we develop an osmocote with one year life spam, and if you have one of it there you can use with other fertilizers (04-14-08 to flowers and fruits).

Re: osmocote

I too picked up a bottle of osmocote 14-14-14 and I sprinkled some on everyone of my trees.
