Organic Fertilizer suggestions?

wELL i HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS... > taps caps key <whoops, caps key on. Anyway, I have a few questions about some tree specifics And since you are the doctor, you should know what are the best vitamins and minerals to give to our plants.
I have several plants that are indoor and (all but a few are indoor due to lack of space outside) as far a fertilizers no matter where I turn, there is a time when to fertilze but no specifics on what to use, I do not like chemical fertilizers, and prefer something more natural, what would be the best fertilizers for these plants (2 parts cotton sead and *1 part tomato food etc etc)
Ficus Benjimina
Zelkova Serrata
Serrisa Foetida
Mini Crape Myrtle (forgot scientific name, sorry)

Also for outdoor,
Picea Abies more specifically 'little gem'
Chinese Elm
Acer Palmatum
Acer Berg... Beran... Trident Maple

Also I do hope this is the right forum to put this in, seems species specific. Please put in correct forum if not for future referance as I know I will have more questions on other plants later (just current plants I have do I have the questions on).

Re: fertilizers

Hi Kristopher,

The Crepe myrtle is [i:a0af35f698]Lagerstroemia indica[/i:a0af35f698]. *You'll find some details here. *The BCI suggested fertilizer program is to alternate a general purpose plant food or bonsai food with a low-nitrogen tomato fertilizer.

http://www.bonsai-bci.com/species/crepe.html

You have a nice mix of plants here. *You can fertilize them all with an organic fertilizer made of cottonseed/bonemeal or rapeseed/bonemeal. *You'll probably find other specific suggestions in the BCI index referenced above

Rapeseed can be purchased at a feed store and ground using a coffee grinder or hand-powered mill, or you can buy commercially prepared organic fertilizer at a supplier like www.treebay.com

Some plants prefer a more acidic pH, and fertilizer is one way to affect soil acidity. *Your spruce and maple may appreciate a slightly acidic soil. *Organic fertilizer does tend to acidify the soil somewhat. *You can also use a chemical fertilizer like MirAcid to bring the pH down.
