Mugho Pine Soils...
Hello all..
I recently purchased a very interesting Mugho Pine at Wal-mart garden centre. It is in a 1 gallon pot, and is root bound. When removed the roots are totally filling the pot. My question is, What is a good soil for these pines. I know they're a bit of an oddball. Ive researched and founbd several different answers, all are very different. So I thought i'd ask here. My intent is to repot into a 3 gallon container, and let grow for a season or 2. There are these little green balls, I believe some sort of fertilizer, currently in the soil i purchased it in. Or could this be some sort of ingredient to add acidity to the soil? Should I find out what this is and add it to the mix when re-poting?
