Fertilizer quality. or Hydro fert for soil.

I wanted to share this on Hydroponic fertilizer in soil, or rather soil mix. I use almost totaly inorganic soil mixes for my plants and have found it reduces insect troubles, fungus ect... all across the board...

I also grow Orchids in semi-hydroponics.. well with hydroponic fertilizer laying around I did some research and started using it on my soil (Can you call it soil) plants.

Soil fertilizers are not complete and you have to rely on the soil or impurities in the fertilizer for micro-nutrients. Not only that they generally use Urea and Ammonia for Nitrogen sources both are toxic to plants in higher amounts.. Hydro fertilizers use only Nitrate for Nitrogen.. a instantly usable totally safe form. You likely would give your children a vitamin if you thought there was any chance they were not getting enough of anything.. I see hydroponic fertilizer as a Vitamin pill for plants it does not mater what brand you use though there are some cheaper than even soil fertilizer when you figure you use it much less often. You just mix it up at the full hydroponic strength and use at each watering. I think for soil mixes that are 100% inorganic this is a wonderful feed. You can even still use your organics with it I actually do mix a half strength dose of liquid Seaweed with it for my soil and hydro plants both.
