Feeding after repoting
I really did try a search, but couldn't come up with anything definative;
most clues lead to not feeding after a repot. What do you guys/gals think? Thanks, Adam |

That is old school thought Adam. I don't believe that there is proof that the feeding after repot does any harm. New school thought is feed away.
Also ignore the 0-10-10 myth. Nitrogen is fine at any time.

Yes, I agree with that. After all, the tree has to make new roots out of something.

G'day Adam...
I immerse my bonsai...40-45 minutes...as the last step in the potting/repotting process. I use my normal fertilizing solution. This is however, the ONLY time I immerese any of my bonsai. Been working for me for about 13 years. Pat

Thanks guys for the advice, I will start feeding my plants again!
Another question though... I'm still a bit confused about fertilizer; I was looking at the "bonsai 4 me" site and it said I should follow the instructions of the fertilizer that I am using, so that being said; I have a bottle of "shultz concintrated 12.15.12" It says I should use it every time I water, is this safe for my bonsai? maybe they assume no one would be watering every 2 days... Its 5 drops per liter of water... |

G'day Adam...
If it was me using "shultz concintrated 12.15.12", I would mix as directed on the label...then apply weekly or once every two weeks... Pat
