European Olive, repot or not?

I have a healthy European Olive that's about twenty years old. I kind of purchased it on a whim from a respected bonsai person in my little burg.

The tree look like it needs to be repotted. Should I wait until next spring, or repot it now? Some of the roots are poking out the bottom of the drainage holes, and the pot looks a little small for it.

Thanks!

I have had very good reactions with repotting in late summer early fall, with olives. In fact very good. It is my time of choice for repotting olive. I wish you well.

I do too Edward, but we're both in California. You might want to wait until spring, or at least consult the guy who sold the olive to you.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, the person who sold it to me was just visiting for a show. Oh well, I think I'll ride it out until next spring.
