confused between fertilizers
Hi,
often read that we should use fertilizer that is mixer with water, but what i have is an organic lump that i insert in the soil, i bought it from japan so im not sure that it is. Anyway is my organic rocky lump stuff ok. Or is it just food and not fertilizer? Yours helpless and confused and in china ( so please dont recomend a BRAND, they don't exist in China!) |

You might want to read up on fertilizers so that you can get more information... there are several different kinds of fertilizers. Some are mixed with water, and some are solid. Your lumps are solid, made up of natural ingredients. Some are like little balls that dissolve in the soil over time. They look like little round candies.

Here is a group of links about fertilizer. There's a lot that you can learn about fertilizer, but all you really need to know is whether a particular fertilizer is good for your tree, and how often/how much to apply. Since you won't be able to get any of the other "brands" very easily, and you have the Japanese pellets, just use them for a while. They are supposed to be placed on the surface of the soil, and some people put them into a paper tea bag (the kind you would use if you wanted to fill it with dry tea leaves) or into little plastic cages. That's to keep the squirrels and things from taking them. So you may not need to do that.

If you leave the pellet/lumps on the soild surface will the eventually disolve in the soil and feed the plant? |
