Question Chinese Elm Repotting And Root Over Rock Technique

Hello everyone !
I'm finally getting ready to repot my elm but i have some questions about doing it right.
First of all i'm planing to to do a rock over root style and i was wondering about the best way to fasten the roots on the rock.
The other thing is that i know i should use a big pot for a couple of years in order the roots to grab the rock and grow strong.
(I'm posting some photos of the pot) Is this pot ok? Do i need to open another hole in order to have a good drainage ?
I have also bought through the internet two types of soil:
1.akadama yellow
2.black gold bonsai mix
Do you think i should mix and in what ratio ?
Thats all for now, here are the photos.

patience..

You've answered your own question regarding root over rock, I understand the best way is to do as you say,

If you were to use the pot you show, then you would need to be careful of the in-curving top. When you come to repot, you might find that you can't get the root mass out of the pot due to the curved top. Far better to use a big terracotta flower pot for the training process and then pot into a proper bonsai pot afterwards.

If you can post a close up picture of a handful of the black gold mix, it would help in recommending a ratio.

Regards,

TB

Sorry about the rush Treebeard but i think it's time for the big step ! And since i work on a weird shift basis i'll only have enough time for three or four days more to do the repotting.
As for the black soil this is what it reads on the bag: A blend of composted forest humus, peat moss, and sharp sand, fortified with a host of micronutrients.
I hope this helps a little bit.
As for the root-over-rock style could anyone suggest the best material to fasten the roots on the rock ?

Thanks for everything
