Can we fertilize yet?

Pennsylvania, USA - Zone 6a/6b.

Can I fertilize my trees yet? Things are really starting to bud out and we've had some 60 degree days full of sun last week except we might get just one more cold spell. Tonight it'll be 34 degrees but then the rest of the week 60-70s but cold again at night - low 40s.

Hmmm... just wondering if they need the fertilizer or if it would do more harm than good at this point.

My forecast: http://www.weather.com/outlook/trav...topnav_business

Thanks guys,
-EK

I've been lightly feeding for weeks. Ever since the buds started swelling.

Buds starting to swell, tree taking up water, time to feed.

Yep, I put fertilizer cakes on all my trees last week.
Once they start to grow they need some food.
