[IBC] Boxwood in the live oak style

Hi all,

Does someone know of any picture of a "mature" or "finished" boxwood in the
live oak style. I just bought a nice boxwood (I'll post a picture in the
gallery) and I would like to know if this tree has some potential in this
style.

Thanks in advance

Kind regards

Samuel

This was a quick styling . . . for a demo. I will be styling one in greater detail for myself this spring.

Cordially,

Re: [IBC] Boxwood in the live oak style

Samuel,

A fine boxwood in the live oak style was done by Ivan Waters of Chicago;
it's pictured in Randy Clark's book, 'Outstanding American Bonsai'. That
book is pretty scarce, perhaps Mr. Clark wouldn't mind if someone posted
that boxwood image to the IBC Galery, as it it strictly for educational
purposes.

Sincerely,

David J. Bockman, Fairfax, VA (USDA Hardiness Zone 7)

Re: [IBC] Boxwood in the live oak style

Thanks to David, Jim, Michael and Dale for their comments. I found some
"rules" for this style if someone is interested:

Tomorrow I'll try to post some pictures. Thanks again.

Kind regards.

Samuel

Hi all,

Here is another link from the same website.

This isn't a bonsai but I would love to be able to have a tree that some day looks something like it.
