Air Layering Question: Spagnum vs. Pot-On-Tree
I have a question about using soil instread of spagnum moss in air
layering techniques. [I reference this google post for details: http://groups.google.com/groups?q=a...ol.com &rnum=1] in this description the Bark Removal Method requires spagnum moss. The Flap Method suggests using a quick draining soil mixture. Will a soil mixture still allow for the development of roots given the density of soil is greater then moss? The advise from this post suggests that the soil approach developes faster; however, the use of a pot with soil could be set up incorrectly. Cheers! nb |
