Here's a potential pot. I have some other shallower pots but this is really the only one I have that's wide and deep enough for this tree.

The only problem is it has been lying around and definitely needs to be cleaned up - and have new screens and wires installed.

And measuring out two lengths of copper wire, which will go through the drainage holes to create the tiedowns.

When you're measuring out the lengths, usually wires about 2/3 the circumference of the pots will meet the requirement. You'll need wires a bit longer if the pot is deep. This one's shallow.

With the tree fitting well enough into the pot, some different planting angles were reviewed and a short red stick was put into the soil to mark the front.
