And the final of four corners is secured. This is a redwood growing container that I made from fence boards. It would probably be a good idea to let the redwood season for at least a year so it doesn't leach tanins into the soil. The pots seem to last about 5 years.

Ginkgo #2
Next tree is another Ginkgo. This one is in the more traditional flame style. When I imported this one it looked like a Buddha belly. the top is coming into shape and taking away some of that appearance.

This pot has an inward lip on it, so it was necessary to use the root hook to carve around the inside of the pot so the tree would be free to remove.
Here, I'm lifting it out.

After uncoiling the root mass we find the larger roots are over a foot long. That's not as long as the other tree, but this pot is pretty small!

With the tree inverted, the underside is cleaned of the soil mix. This tree has been repotted several times, so no field soil remains and it isn't necessary to do any difficult work to remove it.
