Whitefly

Hi guys i got a bonsai (Chinese elm) for christmas and all was going well until about a week ago, when i noticed loads of whiteflies on the leaves. any idea on how to get rid of them?

whiteflys actually transmit disease to plants.

try insecticides, but probably try some soapy water....... to wash them off.....and add a bit of garlic can help

see if that works.....
then try insecticide sprays

Garlic?

That's a new one...have you actually used that with success Eeiko?
Garlic is better for cooking...

I like Carl's Soap Solution...works for me...

well theres a few natrual things that people have customised.

like coffee is also another one that doesnt damage the plant and insects hate.

garlic has been stated in a few books ive read.

well i have a bottle of soap soloution mixed .....ive put a slice of garlic in there....
havent got around to use it yet.....
