This is probably another one of my neophytypical questions, but... my Fukien Tea has a super sticky clear substance on some of its lower leaves - almost looks like a gloss but VERY sticky. It just mysteriously popped up yesterday. Anyone know what this is? Is it harmful, and how do I get rid of it? If worse came to worse I guess i could use it as a fly catcher.
This same tree also has a few very small bugs that look like spots to the naked eye, but are clearly bugs when viewed under a magnifying glass. They are lethargic and appear stationary. Are these mealy bugs? I assume insecticidal soap will work but question is whether Fukien Teas are sensitive to the soap?? Thank you much! mwb |
