Stupid Aphids
Well my tree has aphids, and im just wondering if the ol' soap solution will work without harming my tree...

You could try a blast of water, beneficial insects like ladybug (ladybeetle) insecticidal soap or malathion in that order.
Going the other direction won't work too well  You might also try some ant stakes. Very often it's the ants that are protecting and nurturing the aphids in return for the honeydew they secrete. Regards, Matt
