speedy white bugs

hey all, im new to all this so sorry if this was posted before but i couldnt find anything on here that i can say for sure i have. i have a couple bonsai which seem really healthy, but i moved some soil today to see if they needed watering and i seen a bunch of little white bugs about 2 or 3mm long, they moved really fast and hid under the roots, i searched the other plant too and they were there.
i dont see anything on the needles or trunks. i made some of carls(i think that was the name) solution up of soap, oil, and rubbing alcohol but im unsure if this will be any good for this type of bug. thanks!

I actually just found the same type of bug in my soil. I'm not sure if this is the case with you, but I repotted one of my plants yesterday and found this bug along with several white balls. I almost mistook them for the perlite the plant came potted in, but closer inspection revealed that they were very round and smooth, and a white liquid comes out when you squeeze them. There is nothing on my leaves that I can tell, they are only in the soil. I completely bare-rooted that plant getting all of them out, only to discover that a jade that I have has them too. I think that is where they came from because I had just bought it from a bonsai vendor visiting town a week ago.

By the way, I have done some searching, and I don't think it's white flies by appearance. I can't really find anything that also lays these large white eggs too. Root mealy bugs is about the closest I've come (but appearance still seems a little off), and I'm crossing my fingers that it isn't that.

actually yes to your first post, my brother had a tropical bonsai, far away from mine, it died on him so i went to dispose of it to keep the pot and when i pulled the dead plant out of the tray it did have those white bulbs and those bugs, i didnt think much of it since he left it sitting there dead for so long, just figured it was a dead plant and it got some bugs since he left it there so long. now im thinking i tranfered those bugs over to mine somehow.

and i cant find anywhere a pic or a description which sounds the same as our problem. i find the bugs move so fast you only have a second to see them if your looking closely.

well i think they might be symphylans, anyone hear of these? the sites i found said they are small, fast, and like to eat roots. they also hide from light, i guess thats why they run so fast when i moved my soil. also it said if they are up high on yoru soil it means there is a large infestation.
the only remedy i found was some chemical but i dont think i want that, i think i might repot and use that soap oil and alcohol mix. if anyone has any info on this please let us know

My trees are still living. I completely bare-rooted them to get them all out. Broke several roots trying to get the tangles out, but I figured if they were going to die anyway, then why not do it. Growth has really shut down due to all the stress, but I am starting to see a couple of new leaves on them this week.
