Yes. And a number of others, too.
![]() The "best bonsai tree" is the one you like working with the best. But I suspect most of us like working with a number of different kinds of trees, so there may not be a single "best" for most of us.

"...maples...Black pines...Elms...Junipers...Redwood...Apple...Thuja. .."
Your choice...a matter of personal taste... Best for what? A beginner? To show? Ease of growing? Pat

yeah personal taste
i dont like the ficus cause of that white crap....and the leaves dont look good to me.... i like junipers and cedars...and the hornbeam. so there isnt a "best" and theres a personal taste for styling too.... like, personally......absoloutly.....hate.......and i mean HATE......the cascade look.... but you know....some people like it. i peronsally like the real thick aged & straight look.... with lots of taper. some people might think thats a boring style...... i would say that the best tree for bonsai , the 1 that you grow from start , why becouse you are it and it is you
but for hear the fig is unreal , ps you know that i have look all over the net and there is not 1 sit i have found seen pic of all any thing that show u how to grow from the start , how to get a nice bend in the trunk ,ect to care for it to make it me , when i die the tree will live , if it lucky and my family see the love that i put in to little tree , that live on as part of me , at 1st it was small like my love and as it grow a brach for each love i may not express my love but the tree for you does so hand it down with all my love Last edited by malsteen : 30-Jan-2008 at 08:50 AM. |
