Be still my heart! A believer in IPM. And a nurseryman, no less. This was all great advice! And........I have used predator mites in my backyard. They worked great. It is not instantaneous but over time the problem goes away. I have also had good luck with insecticidal soap but it needs to be used 3-4 times to get all of the generations.

Can you scrape off the white spots with your fingernail? If so, that could be just residual spray material. Or it could be something like powdery mildew, which would need to be treated. If the spots don't scrape off, it might be some burn from the spray that you used. It is too hard to tell without seeing it.

If it is burn, it's not deadly. Just yucky looking and it does not go away. Once new growth fills in, it won't look bad. That is a good reason why it can help to test spray on a small area before you spray the whole plant. Some plants just burn easily from certain chemicals. For instance, I was using a copper spray on one of my roses that happened to be near a Japanese maple and the maple leaves had burn spots where the spray drifted on to them. It happens.
