Ligustrum (Privet) help
Can someone please help me with my Ligustrum Privet bonsai?
In the past couple of months, I noticed black flies and white flies flying around it, so I stuck sticky sticks in the soil to catch and kill the flies. I've also recently started spraying the leaves with pesticide.
In the past few weeks, the tree has not been doing well. Many of the old leaves have dried up and it hasn't grown many new leaves. Some of the tips of the leaves have brown marks and others look to be eaten off. Also, the leaves have many small brown circular marks on them and also white marks (are these eggs?). See the photos.
Can anyone help me identify this pest and what I can do to get rid of it? Is the tree afflicted by a disease as well?
Or is it also to do with my care (I'm a newbie)? I try to water the plant regularly and give it plenty of sun. Am I overwatering? It's an indoors tree (too cold here in Canada to put it outside yet).
Please help me, the tree is not looking healthy at all.
