help - spots on trunk

Please could someone help me identify a problem with one of my bonsai. Recently some of the leaves have begun curling and going slightly discoloured. At first I thought I had maybe left it in too much light, but I have now noticed lots of spots on the truck. They look a little like small blisters. I can't see any insects/bugs. If any other info would be helpful let me know + thanks in advance for any help!

Re: help - spots on trunk

Could the "blisters" be scale insects? See the "scale or something else?" thread in this forum...

Best regards,
Old Mister
