Curling Leaves - bonsaiTALK Community

malstar bonsaiTALK Neophyte Join Date: Mar-2005 Posts: 7	Curling Leaves I have a 12 year old chinese elm, but most of the leaves are curling up and falling off, there is however a lot of green buds on it? Is this normal or is my tree dieing, as posted earlier I have had some problems with mold, worms and spiders which I have treated but not sure how successfully. Thanks

Chinese elm will also readily drop leaves after treatment with insecticides and such, especially systemics. Quite temporary, new leaves pop out quickly.

malstar bonsaiTALK Neophyte Join Date: Mar-2005 Posts: 7	Hi its mostly last years leaves, a couple of new ones have fallen off but it is mostly last years leaves that are turning brown, curling up and falling off. Is this normal then?
