it is hard to identify without a picture but it sounds like worms what you are talking about with one tree or did you get more than one it could be worms but maybe not and what do you mean by all you could find are feeder roots do you mean the worm things or actual roots a picture would help and some punctuation might make your question more clear
But if you remove the worm things when you repot it should be cool. Good luck. pootsie |

ok lets try again i have 2 serrisas in seperate pots.
1 was not doing very well so i decided to repot it. i took it out and dumped the soil in the pot onto a newspaper and repotted the serrisa again the main thick roots are noticible not there like on the second serrisa just the tiny thin feeder roots. when i went to dispose of the old soil i noticed something that looked like old feeder roots but they were moving, so i looked closer and there were alot of these moving around in the soil kind of like a worm or caterpillar.

If you dumped out all the old soil, it sounds like you took care of your problem.
I gave up on serissas a while back, but I recall that they often have just fine roots until they mature. So long as the fine roots are in decent shape, you should be OK good luck pootsie |
