Question something juniper

hey guys my father in law wants this juniper out of his front yard,(yep i'll take it) can anybody tell me what it is exactly. i has that grey blue foliage. and what do you guys think is this tree workable. anyone got any ideas?

It's hard to tell without a close-up of the branches, but I'm pretty sure that's an Arizona Cypress (Cupressus arizonica). However, you should be able to treat it pretty much the same as a juniper.

Nope.

personally Tony, I would not bother.Just being honest.Maybe cut it back hard and leave it for a few years. But good luck if you proceed with it.

I'd certainly give it a go. Your inlaw wants it gone and at least it'll have a chance at life if you take it for bonsai. Like anything of this kind, its gonna take time to develop into a bonsai and who knows what it will end up like.

thanks ross but but i decided better for the scrap heap. dug too many other trees i need to deal with.
