update: yesterday we fetched the tree. Here with Drago for size comparison.

It just about fitted into the largest mica pot.
It is almost impossible to see anything here but the sheer size. But I can assure you that It is of outstanding quality.

One does not find 'bonsai' up there in the mountians. Everything is full of shrubs and even experienced bonsai enthusiasts will not see a world class tree when they stand right in front of it.

Here it's much easier to see the quality. The obious size should not bother you. It sure will be a large bonsai, but not higher than 80 to 90 cm, which is less than 40 inches. But for now it will have to establish for at least three years.
Progress will be reported.
