Collecting Bonsais In The Wild
I wanted to go dig up some trees in wild to make bonsais with, but I didn't know what I should be looking for. So i need to know about what kind aspects i should be looking for in dicidues tree with leaves.
All comments would be highley appreciated. Thank You |

if it is legal your lucky, its like a $200 dollar fine if youdo it in australia.

Collectors Corner is a board on BonsaiTalk that you may want to read through, there are many topics there some on specific trees and some on legalities. If you find that your questions are still not answered, you may want to get more specific.
Like specific species, location/environmental etc etc.... good luck Paul

I think that it's really silly to get a fine of collecting one or two trees from the nature when big companies and others destroy ALOT more trees when building roads and buildings.
Yes, I know that they have to pay for the land they construct on.

Thanks for the help. I'm looking for a tree with leaves it realy doesn't what kind. I live in south mississippi and where I'm looking for the tree is on my families property. I only know that there is huckle berry, wild blue berry, and lot more but i do not know the species.

since you live in america, I would suggest you collect the junipers that are supposedly everywhere?? not too sure...or the cotoneasters..I'm not sure about that either but apparently those guys grow even on sidewalks.
