Collected prunus

Here are some plums that I collected in March.....sprouting out leaves now...

Most of these trees are going to require some significant carving before they're done. I was wondering if any of yall have examples you can show of carving done on large branches or trunks of prunus or other deciduous trees? I'm having a hard time envisioning how they should look.
