While I do not consider myself an expert in the field of collecting junipers, I do have some good experience and the photos to back up my claims. There are alot of misconceptions about how to collect this juniper and its aftercare. It is my hope that before posting to a collection thread, the poster would have read at least two or three of these articles before posting. Many questions can be answered here and many myths about these plants can be cleared up here too. Ive lived in california for all my life and since my time in bonsai never dug a tree up in fear it would die.

A few years ago the wife and I were in Palm Springs and drove up in the mountains. There were Can Junis everywhere and many were being buldosed for building sites. She wouldn't let me grab a few as we were in her new Corvette
