Small Photos -- Why?

Being an admitted computer dummy I need some help with the size of my attachment photos. In my gallery they look great, but when I attach them to a forum post they stay dinky. My camera is 4.0 megapixel, and I am using a iMAC G5 and iPHOTO. I send them as jpeg images. The attachment is a 70.2 KB file.

It boils down to time spent learning the computer or time spent enjoying/working on my trees. Hands down the trees win.

Thanks to any computer/bonsai whiz who helps!

Carmen

You need to apply jpeg compression to your photos. This is called various things in different programs. "Image Quality" "Quality" or "Compression" are some names

Without compression, the program assumes your output is intended for paper at 200-300dpi, not a 72-96dpi computer screen.

I am not sure, but I believe that iPhoto does not offer you any control over image quality and will always save at the maximum quality setting.

Regards,

Matt
