Gee, I don't remember specifically mentioning anyone's name.

So I don't know if you want an apology from me, or what. I do think that the best discussions - such as this one - often come when someone takes a stand and others address or attack or support it, as the case may be.

My commentary was really on the four pages on this issue... You could fill in the initial maple or whatever it was instead of the trident if you like...

Careful, Jim - posting strong words like "Maybe you missed the elementary school trip to the modern art museum so never learned simple art apprectiation..." and then backtracking that hard comes pretty close to passive-aggressive behavior in my book.

If you weren't referring to me, who were you referring to in the sentence above?

Come on guys, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the only two people that made dispariging remarks about an oil slick rooted tree were OMC and me. He does not like them in general, and I posted the, IMHO, worlds worst nebari. Which I feel still qualifies as such. It ain't an art thing, it ain't a lack of education thing, it ain't a lack of an appreciation for the artist right thing. The tree is just grotesque. But... thats my opinion, and you can't diminish that.

OMC, et. al. ,

After reading 4 pages, it's not easy to attribute any particular comment to any one person. And I wouldn't know WHO missed that field trip or not...

And as I've mentioned before, if I have a problem with you I'll call you out by name.

I'm not out to deprive anyone of their opinions, never did. I simply stated as GENERAL advice/commentary that ANYONE might be doing their art a disservice by keeping a closed mind.

In the future shall I refrain from using the pronoun "you" so that no one feels threatened in any way nor incite anyone's belligerence?!?

If there is still a feeling that anything I said was directed at a particular person go on with that feeling. It's your perogative, like having an opinion. Only in this case there IS a single right answer because only I know what my intention was.

I neither expect apologies nor am I inclined to offer any because this whole thing is F'g childish. WHICH, I probably have to point out, is merely my opinion so, as such I do not feel that it is necessary to back it up with supportive documentation.

At least we're in agreement on something, Jim.

Have a good day,

Didn't we just have this very same argument argument a few months ago, though?

At least we both stayed true to our positions. Fools we may be, but fickle, never!
