Benches, Displays And Gardens Oh My
I tried a search here for threads on members gardens, benches and displays, but came up with nothing that I was actually looking for.
Would anyone like to share their photo's of their benches, monkey poles, gardens, displays and or any ideas they have for their gardens? When a collection gets up in size, say over 10 and under 100 (For now), benches space and garden space seems to get limited at times. I have gone from temporary set ups such as this: (three pairs of saw horses with 1x4 slats and misc boards to support the trees.)

This year, actually a few days ago, I built a semi permanent display bench. It consists of two 4"x4"x8' about 10 feet apart. Two shelving units on those about chest and eye level. And a third about a foot and a half off the ground. I dont have pics. But will post some shortly. I have a part of my collection on it now, to see if I really like it or not. I didnt want to keep building these until I got a good "feel" for it.
A friend of mine has a very nice set up, using chimney flumes, rough cut tamarack boards for the stands and edging. A couple monkey poles thrown in the garden as well. I like his set up, but would like to get to see many more and incorporate some other ideas with some of my own. Well? How bout it? Can I count on a few of you to share your benches?? Thanks Paul

Here is an idea I borrowed from Vance Wood. (with his permission) I took two pairs of ready-made-steps and put them back to back. It is llike walking up one set of stairs and then down the other side.
This, of course, could be used outdoors as well. My pictures were taken at night so you could see into my "tree House" .

Here's a little different angle so you can see a little better of the steps on the right

If you are interested in some spectacular bonsai garden pics, including some ideas for benches, etc , I would recommend Wolfgang Putz's site. Here is the garden page .

About 6 weeks ago I put down timber decking on our patio. The patio also serves as part of my display area.
I wasn't sure which way to lay the decking, parallel with or perpendicular to the house, so being the computer nerd that I am I did a virtual to see. This was the old nasty crazy paving that I hasten to blame on the previous occupants... ever since we moved in we have wanted rid of it.
