Yet another dying juniper

Hello,
I have a "cascading juniper" bonsai tree that I purchased from a bonsai store about 4-5 months ago. I kept it indoors at my office for about 2 months (yes, I now know that was a very bad idea). I took it home and put it outside. When I went on vacation, my friend did not water it and it was pretty dry upon my return. I have been watering it regularly since then.

Anyway, about 2 weeks ago it started turning pale. It got very dry and crumbly for a few days (despite misting and watering). It is now completely pale green/brown except for a few patches of green on the underside. However, it is not crumbly anymore at all... it feels alive but looks dead/dying.

Any suggestions, I really do not want to give up hope. I am attaching 2 pictures for you to see.

Thanks,
Mario

I would give up. Sorry. If it were deciduous there might be a chance but when a Juniper goes uniformly brown, it's dead.

Regards,

Matt

To quote the (in)famous "Dead Bonsai" sketch:

"It's not dormant, it's deceased. This bonsai is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late bonsai. It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. If you hadn't nailed it in the pot, it would be pushing up the daisies. It's rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. This is an ex-bonsai."

OK... I'm trying again with another juniper. I hope this one does not become an ex-bonsai as well... wish me luck.

Yet another juniper?

Dear Oiram,
Good luck with the latest juniper. Please do yourself a favor and keep it outside in the full sun, well watered.....especially in the hot weather. Junipers just do not live indoors....period. Best wishes.

Doug that looks a great deal like the Late Great Jack Michelberg's page, that links here.
