trident maple droop
HI,
I am just now starting to get leaf growth on my trident maple recently purchased in Omiya, Japan. I am getting a nice bunch of leaves, but they are "droopy", almost look like wilted. I repotted it just before the buds came out, using a nice well drained acadama clay mix and I know they are getting plenty of water. I saw a couple of aphids on a couple of leaves, but other than that, it seems to be growing well. I still live in Japan, so I don't think it is a weather phenomenon. Any suggestions? |

Re: trident maple droop
The leaves come out folded and will unfold and increase in size like some kind of satellite antennae. It may take a little while before they look normal.
If it gets frosty out there might be some leaf kill, but then the leaves would look like boiled spinach. Regards, Matt.
