Unhappy Serissa Foetida dying!!!

I water my serissa foetida (June rose) about every second day and the leaves every day, depending on if it is blooming.
Last week I was sick and my bonsai missed one day's watering. The result - all the flowers died, the leaves turned a darkish green.
I am watering it every second day as usual and the leaves, but for some reason my bonsai is not looking better. The leaves are not falling, but I see no improvement. Is my tree dying? Is there anything I could do to get it back into shape. I am feeling so hopeless at the moment...

How long will it take to come right again, or is it over?

Can someone please help..... Thanks....

Dr. Bonsai??

You need to be careful to check the plant every day and water only as needed. There are some tips in the Watering look for the bit on How to Water and Learning to Water

A scratch test may be helpful in checking to see if the tree is still alive.

Regards,

Matt

Chances are its just a minor serissa grumpiness. Flowers dont last forever, just pinch them off to encourage the tree to use its energy on its leaves. If the leaves havent fallen off though, you should be fine. It sounds like this serissa is fine to me, just resume your watering, everything should be alright.

hope this helped.

Thank you so much! I did the scratch test and the bark is green.
Maybe I'm just being impatient. Just want my bonsai to look healthy now and the leaves to be as green as they were. I guess I will have to wait a few weeks for this fussy one. *Smile*

Yes, you should. Tell us more about the tree... how long have you had it? Where do you keep it? When did you first notice the problem? What it is potted in? How do you water it? Can you show us a picture?

It may not be a case of a dying tree due to underwatering. The leaves would shrivel and go brown and crack. By the sound of it, it may be a disease, such as rust or blackspot. Post a picture if you can.
