pomegranate twig with curly leaves
hi, nice to have a reason to write a letter.
I am not good with introductions but i will gladly talk and play with your dog, if you have one. my name is mike. nice to meet you all. I had a question about a pomegranate twig ive had for about 4 months. It is very small little thicker than a toothpick approx 6 inches tall. Exposed to direct sun about 1.5 hours in the morning then again from about 2 to 6 pm. when i first got my twig i transplanted it, it didnt do nothing, including die, for about two months and then it started to grow leaves, very green and juicy looking, sorta like a medium ribeye. at this point i cut back my twig partly cause i had to try out my new concave cutters, partly because i was extremely jealous, and partly because it was very lanky with two long thin branches (1mm x 4 inches) and a bunch of new leaves on the end. regardless, very soon after and presently it is growing new leaves but they are curled lenthwise. I am talking about curled so much it kinda looks like little tubes instead of leaves. Some of them dont even have a leaf shape anymore when unfolded. they do still have that deep green ribeye look though. i have a feeling it is too much and too strong of sun exposer. I have a very small maple that has barely grown in four months, he's a little sun shy too that little bumpkin. any help would be helpful. no help will probably lead to the death of my pomegranate which would mean one less plant to take care of which would ultimately be helpful, though i was planning on harvesting my pomegranates in a few years and retiring off the proceeds. I'll just retire by selling my ginko leaves to the pharmacuetical company's instead. good deal thanx again talk to anyone soon bye thanx |

I just wanted to mention I enjoyed your posting a great deal. Many deciduous trees do well in open shade during the summer. Seedlings and cuttings too can take a while to get going, but when they do, stand back.
Good luck with these, and practice on the yard trees in the meantime ![]() Regards, Matt
