Hello,
When it comes to Bonsai I'm considered to be a complete n00b. I've had my bonsai tree since christmas and for the first couple of months it was doing great. I slowly noticed that the leaves were turning lighter and lighter green until the leaves could fall off at the touch of a finger. I put it under a grow lamp for some time watering regulary. Finally all of the leaves have fallen off and the branches appear withered. The trunk itself is very spongy yet the moss is still damp and I've even noticed little green leaves sprouting from it... I will get the name of my tree later, but as of now if anyone has any suggestions for reviving me tree to its former glory, your help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks, Anubis

We really need to know what kind of tree it is in order to help. It might be an indoor tree and you are keeping it locked up in the house.

I'm sorry, but with the spongy trunk, it is probably already dead. You could scratch the bark at the trunk level and see if there is any sign of green.
Most problems folks have with bonsai are overwatering or not providing adequate light & ventiliation. Please see the ***FAQ*** for more tips. Regards, Matt
