Right,
I'm beginning to wonder if my plants need to be repotted. The ficus appears to be doing good. I'm gonna see where i can order some humidity enhancers, but the fukien tea is really doing poorly.
Is it so that both of the bonsais need to be more to the dry then to the wet during winter time?
Cuz if so, i'd need to begin to water them a bit less.
Next to that, do i need to put furtilizer in the soil in the winter time?

Thx

...start with a tray filled with clay pebbles & water, avoid direct water contact with pot - in nature Fukien Tea grows in a humidity of up to 80% (!)

in winter I wait 3 days between watering, (till the surface of soil is dry)

Unhappy

damn, my fukien tea is still looking poor, very poor.

I slacked the soil and gave it one good watering after letting the soil dry for about 2 to 3 days. I also have a plant spray and spray above the plant every day once or twice.

The ficus has dropped again a couple of leaves, looking poorer too

Man, i knew I had black fingers, but this is really bad...
I'd really like to have something more then cacti or fat plants in my house...
I really don't know what I'm doing wrong.

- searching a bonsai dealer and showing Your invalids
- meeting a bonsai workshop
That My bonsai Top 10 works fine You can see on My Carmona Pics

something to also keep in mind, amongst the care sheet advice you're getting, is that ( at least in my expierience ) most tropicals will go through some leaf drop when you change thier environment, its a sort of shock. i see in some of the picks that new leaves are pushing out, so the shock of moving would be my intial concern. if you are going to move the placement in your home, do it once, do it right, then give the trees some time to recover. good luck.

Right, thanks, both the bonsais are growing new branches and new buds, etc.

Does this mean I need to give em some extra in the water or something?
Cuz someone here i think said I had to give em extra food when they grow new stuff.
They aren't looking worse, but they dropped every old leaf that was on it!

Bucky, leave it alone. Its survived most its life without you. Let it recover, water when it needs it. If your not sure when that is search the forum. Misting with a spray bottle helps to. In two weeks see where you stand. If your not careful you'll baby your tree right on to the mulch pile.
