MY AZALEA!!! :( one pic
my azalea seems to be joining the ban wagon and taking a turn for the worse. im not sure what is wrong. it was in a spot that it had been growing like crazy. i cut it back a few weeks ago and im not sure if its dying back a bit because of the cutting back or too much/not enough water? not enough light/too much light? NO CLUE

Drropy Leaves like that to looks like lack of water.
Make sure the soil never dries out completely Ken

Ah OK
You could try an emargency repot by just teasing the outside roots away from the root ball and slip potting into a bigger pot. Make sure the new soil is good stuff. Watch the watering to make sure it does not get rewatered until it needs it. Put it somewhere where it gets filtered light and not full sun and hope for the best Ken

oh my god, my tree is dying just like that, and i dont know why, i left it unwatered for 3 days, and will start watering it regularly.. uhmm i feel sorry for your tree ! by the way here's my post. http://forum.bonsaitalk.com/f6/stil...t-do-29208.html
Your tree looks also similar to mine [the type] even though mine's not an azalea [do they give flowers? mine doesn't]. Good luck with your tree |

a few other thoughts for ya dude. Best time to prune is after flowering!!. Looks like you left plenty of growth on still, very important. They are shallow rooted, the apex isnt at the top of the tree. You may have over watered it, see if you can gently remove it and check the soil is not saturated. They like a acid soil this means high in composted material usaully rotted decidious leaves are best.Dont water it again till you see if any new little buds start, because their is nothing to take up the water, good luck

Thats the reason Kc said not enough water. You replied the soil is wet. When the soil is wet the plant cannot take up what it needs. It needs to be moist with out being wet. Like if you jump into a swimming pool with a hamburger sink to the bottom you cant eat it because you get a mouthful of water!!. So dry it out slowly. Free draining soil mix always. Azaleas like acid soil, as has been said but free draining. Hope this helps Pup. Ps, If you can get it Kanuma is the best soil for Azalea's
