Loropetallum yellow leaves

I just recieved a rather young bonsai tree and I'm attempting to take care of it. I'm new to bonsai, so I'm not exactly sure what's wrong. The tree I have is a Loropetallum Chinensis of some variety. It's more commonly called the Chinese Fringe Flower (or so I've found out from Google). When I got it the leaves were a mixture of green, red, and yellow, but now it seems to be turning more yellow. I gather that the green and red are both normal colors, but the yellow is not. Right now I have it sitting on my north facing balcony, so it might not be getting enough light. Alternatively, it may have bad soil for bonsai since I'm just using what it came with. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
