Kingsville boxwood dropping leaves
i bought a very small kingsville boxwood in the past 2 months, and soon all the leaves became very brittle/hard and began to fall off. now the tree is leafless and i am not sure what to do to help the tree survive. any ideas?

tell us more about water you do when watering. in bonsai there shouldnt be a set schedule when watering, only water when soil is dry. and dont water when soil is moist. how have you been watering?
have you been keeping this outside or inside? Tell us more about how you've been taking care of it. Thanks. -Evan

i water every few days, but usually everyday i mist it wih a spray bottle. i try to keep it outside as much as possible, but with the cold new england winter, i wasn't sure how much i should leave it outside. i would bring the tree in when it got below freezing. is the kingsville boxwood hardy enough to leave outside at night in winter? thanks.

Well, be careful with the watering. Box's are pretty hardy but they are able to get rootrot, only water when soil is dry (put your finger in some of the soil to check.)
Box's dont like to be too cold, try to keep away from frost. They dont require a large amount of light either, from what ive read. But enjoy some nice sunlight, you can keep them in fairly shady areas. So shade or sun are ok. I understand if you keep it inside for the winter because its cold, but get it out asap because like most bonsai, it enjoys fresh air. Do you see any new leaves on this yet? You might have lost this little guy. But you never know. Keep me updated. Anyone else ![]() Hope this helps. -Evan
