Exclamation juniper dying-Need help!!

Help!! I have a juniper that I got about 4 monthes ago and it looked green and had new shoots that were growing like mad. I just touched it and even though it appeared healthy and green all but one very little part is dead!! I had another juniper bonsai that I had for 8 years die when we had a severely dry winter and the house I was in was not humidified. I have since learned through more research that I was not giving the poor thing nearly enough moisture. What can I do now to try and save that little part that is alive and save the new juniper I was just given from the same fate. Fertilzers or intesive care ideas? Thanks for the help!

Junipers should not be kept indoors. This is most likely the cause of your trees demise. I'd recommend doing some indepth research on caring for specific bonsai trees that you possess.

All the best,

Aaron

Unfortunately, Junipers will remain green in color long after they have died.

I know it's rather basic, but all trees are outdoor trees. It's just that some adapt to
indoor conditions better than others. The Juniper, however, is not one of them.
In your area of the country, the Juniper should spend all its time outdoors. Having said that, try the "scratch test." Use your finger nail and make a scratch
somewhere on the trunk. If it's still alive, you'll see some green where you scratch.
If not, then it's probably too late. However, I think I'd stick it outdoors anyway just to see what happens.
