Thanks so much for the reply. Ralph has sent me some information on BSD and I will be looking forward to meeting you both at the next meeting. Don't be surprised if I'm a bit shy and slightly intimidated... the trees you post here & on your web site are absolutely superb.

Funny thing, the meeting I attended in May was the first time I have ever seen bonsai up close and personal. Everything up to that point has been viewed either in photographs or "mallsai". I went to a retailer here in Dallas (which shall remain nameless) and most of what I saw were poor imitations (mostly young twigs with tons of wire scars). I was very disappointed.

So, as you can see, I am an extreme novice. I look forward to truly learning more.
