Hiya Hayley
I am also in Sydney and have Chinese Elms. I keep them in full sun most of the day and I have had no problems. I water them in the morning Every day in summer, and if it is hot, I water them again in the afternoon when I get home from work. Luckily we have not had any of our normal summer hot westerly winds this year so they have not dryed out too much and get burnt. Ken

Thanks that's good to know.
So the elm has shown no signs of recovery. It is back in the backyard and being watered regularly. The moss is happy and healthy however the elm still has not shown any sign of coming back. Is there hope? Its been a few weeks, there are no leaves. Or do I have accept the worst? Hayley. |
