I need SERIOUS help
Hello all.
Newby here. I need some immediate answers to a few questions I have before my babies die! I know I should look with the search function, by honestly, I dont have time to search here at work. I have multiple questions on multiple plants anyways.... A little background on me first. I recieved my first Bonsai this last Christmas. Turns out the tree was purchased from a Bonsai Nursery right down the street from me. Since then, I have been buying more and more trees because I like them so much. Unfortunately, I have already killed one Sarissa by accident. Now that the weather is getting nicer out, I have progressively moved my plant outside (more on what plants in a bit) But since moving them outside during the sunny days, they have deteriorated in health considerably. Below is the tree and the description of the issues I have with them: Jade: Was doing GREAT all winter in the house. But since moving them outdoors, some of the leaves are falling off. Some have a brown/red color out the outside rim of some of the leaves. Why? Elm??: Got this one in a planting pot I x-fered over to a Bonsai pot. Not doing well. I keep it watered well, but the leaves have brown tips. The rootball isnt rotted and the soil is fresh. Why are the leves browning? Tropical Cherry: Got this one like the Elm above. X-fered to a Bosai pot as well. When I bought it, it had two Cherrys on it. Now, half the leaves fell off, the Cherrys dropped. Also, all the new leaf buds coming in are turning yellow/brown before they even open. Why? Fig: This guy was doing good idoors over winter. Now, it isnt prospering as well. Leaves are coming in and not turning a dark green....sorta staying light light green. Almost yellow. Why? I have a few books and refer to them all the time. But I cant keep up with what is wrong with them. I dont want to lose these trees. Also, I know there are NO bug problems for sure. I don't expose them to colder than 60 degrees. I also live in Massachusetts, USA. I have made a little greenhouse I put the trees in when its windy or rainy outside. Any and ALL comments/questions/answers are greatly appreciated. Best Regards, Travis |

Re: I need SERIOUS help
Remember that trees began life outdoors. *Rain and wind are part of that. *One thing you need to keep in mind is that PATIENCE is difficult to exercise but it is a MUST. *Try to leave them alone so they can recuperate. *Just be sure the soil has the proper moisture. *
