Exclamation I Boiled My Bonsai

Seems the tap was on hot not cold. At least 4 minutes of hot, hot water on a 2 year old can never be good, right?

2 days in and the leaves are dying at the end of the branches.

A suggestion I have had is to cut all the roots and branches back then re-pot... seems to make sense.

Does anyone have ay suggestions?

Thanks

You shouldn't touch the roots right now. If it has lots of foliage, you could reduce it so that the roots which survived can supply the tree with enough water.

Place the tree in shade, careful not to over-water, and hope for the best.

What kind of tree is this, and do you have a picture?

That narrows it down to several thousand trees. laugh. Okay well if it is a decidious tree there is a good chance it will drop those leaves and try to grow new ones or go into it's natural dormancy for this time of the year.

I would just wait and see. Hey we all make mistakes (means kill trees). The first most common reaction is "I've got to do something to fix this". But who can know what, if any damage has been done. Watch and wait, keep us updated.
