Dying Branch

Hi all -

Ive got a procumbens and one of my main branches is dying. What can I do about this? Also if its too far gone what can i do about the shape of my tree - without that branch it lacks balance.

Need more info.

Remember though, if it does die, don't be too hasty in cutting it off. You may be able to turn the resulting deadwood into an interesting feature for a restyle.

wait until you are 100% sure it is dead and think about turning it into a jin. You could post a picture here and get a few opinions on the form it could take.

Shifty, you may want to try and figure out why the branch died. It may have parasites or a disease, or it may have been too shaded by the other branches, or perhaps be an indication of a different problem.

See if you can figure it out, so you don't lose another branch.
