Dying bonsai
Maybe someone out there can help me. my Trident maple late last Fall accidentaly wasn't watered for a few days. Almost all but a few leaves were lost, then we went into Winter. I checked under the bark of the trunk and it was still green, so I assumed that with proper wintering that it would come back in the Spring. Up tp now I've seen no budding. It is still somewhat green under the trunk bark. Do you have any advice on what to do. or not to do to help ensure recovery. Or when do I know that it is lost for sure. Please reply to frankmcd@beautysurf.com
Thank you |

Re: Dying bonsai
There isn't much to be done except to wait and make sure the tree doesn't dry out again in the meantime. If you scuff the bark and see green beneath, some part of the tree must still be alive.
Regards, Matt
