Someone else just asked about them, too. I had planned to collect them early this spring, but then I blew out my knee, and it appears, sadly, that they are dead, in any case. I am watching them, and I keep hoping they will send out some very very very very very very very late buds, but it looks hopeless. The hacking they took last summer was too much for them.
